Album Review: The Pinkprint
The Pinkprint by Nicki Minaj starts off with an introduction to her life through the song All Things go. This songs is about the struggles of balancing family and fame. Also, puts into focus her long-time goals that she plans to have with her family. This album ends with a song called The Night is Still Young. This song is suppose to emphasize the fact that after all the obstacles, play and accomplishments that happen. There is still more to come. In between these two songs are a bunch of fun and danceable songs such as Feeling Myself and Want some more. Also this album demonstrates the whole demeanor of Nicki Minaj herself. Overall, it is a good album and I recommend it to anybody who likes to jam in the car. Also , who wants to get in a pretty good mindset about themselves.

A Principle to Keep
A principle to keep no matter what the situation is the ability to accept failure. Failure is a big part of success. In order to succeed you have to learn from the mistakes that caused you to fail the first few times. I said the first few times because its possible to fail at something multiple times. In addition you can't let that stop you from getting up and trying again to succeed at whatever activity it is. Obstacles that are placed in front of you are not there to stop you but to stop others who doesn't want it bad enough. Another principle is always challenging yourself to reach greater heights. Don't settle for mediocracy. Another principle that everyone should keep is telling the truth no matter what. Telling the truth keeps you clean and when you tell a lie you have to keep piling on to that lie with new lies. And now you have entered this cycle of lies just to keep the first lie that you've told.

I am thankful for....
I am thankful to have Zonaly Vega as a classmate and a friend. Zonaly always help me when I have problems with the classwork. Also, she is great at expressing her opinion. In addition she is a great contributor to group discussions. When the group doesn’t have a clue what direction the story is going in she always contributes an idea that could lead us in the right direction. Another classmate is Aja Jones. We share the same strugglin of not knowing what’s going on in some of the stories. But I feel like after talking to helpful classmates such as Christy and Sierra, we know what is going on in the story.

What did Margaret do?
I think that Margaret intentionally killed her husband. In the beginning of the story, it is stated that Margaret used to be a very famous cover girl. It can be inferred that she is out of the business because she has gotten old which causes her to be considered ugly. So from this information you could conclude that she was going to be the type of person that was bitter and always pointing out others flaws to make herself feel better. At the start of the story, Francis is a shown to be a coward but after he hunted and successfully killed the lion he gained a lot of bravery. By Francis gaining this confidence he could have left Margaret. Margaret surely noticed this because she said “You’ve gotten awfully brave, awfully sudden” (pg. 26) Also, the narrator says that “she was very afraid of something” and I think she was scared that he would gain enough confidence to leave her. So to make sure that he doesn’t she wanted to kill him or shoot him in a place that would make him dependent. By making him dependant upon her he wouldn’t leave her.

For sale: baby shoes, never worn
Never did I believe, heart broken
Empty home, only memories of family
Happening again, butterflies, my heart racing
A house not a home, my mistakes
Traveling with a stranger at end
The doors open all go insane.

John Proctor stooge or hero ?
I feel as though John Proctor is a hero. I feel as though he tried to lie to save his life but he was too much of a leader to do so. You know what they say " if you stand for nothing, you will fall for everything" . So by sticking to his word that he was innocent and the girls in the court was lying, he was sticking by something he believed strongly about. I feel he was not only a hero for himself but for the people that couldn't. He was a leader for those that just confessed and blamed others to save their lives. I also feel as though he was a sacrifice for the community. Because after Rebecca Nurse, Martha Corey, and John Proctor were killed the community started to notice that maybe the court was getting out of hand. So in a sense this needed to happen to stop it. Even though his heroism wasn't noticed right away, it was for the better of the people afterwards. In addition, he gave up his life with his family. He had three sons and one expecting child. The three sons will remember their dad as an hero but the child that is not born yet would never know his/her dad.

There Goes the neighborhood
I feel when two or more groups come together either something good or bad is going to come out of it. In some cases there could be both positive and negative effects that comes out of the Union. The positive effects could be an exchange of goods, such as the Columbian exchange. The Natives introduced sweet potatoes, squash, pumpkins, peppers, pineapples, corn and etc. The Europeans also introduced the natives to grapes, citrus fruits, turnips, onions, sugar canes, bananas, and etc. Another positive effect could be a mix of both groups way of life to produce an even better way to go about things. For example, the Europeans introduced animals such as horses, sheep, pigs, cattle, and honeybees. The animals that the Europeans brought over helped them get around faster and also helped with farming. In addition to the positive effects there are also could be negative effects such as spread of disease and conflict. Conflict could arise from disagreements about what is right and wrong in terms of running a society. The differences could cause one to feel superior to the other.
